Here's exactly how to bring in recruits and turn your Scout account into real earnings.

Adding a recruit

From your portal dashboard, use Add recruit and enter the person's phone number — before they've signed up. That's the only step on your side; there's no code to hand them.

You can have up to 50 open (not-yet-signed-up) leads at a time, and each one expires after 30 days if the person hasn't joined yet.

How the match happens

When that phone number later signs up on the Customer or Rider app — using their own phone, the normal way — the system automatically recognises it and links them to you. That's the "conversion." You don't need to follow up or do anything else once they've signed up.

As a backup, a rider can also type your Scout code (format TS-XXXXXX) directly during their own signup instead of you adding their number first.

When earning actually starts

A referral doesn't earn the moment someone signs up — it has to activate first, which means the recruit reaches a minimum activity level (for example, a rider completing enough trips) within a set window. Check your dashboard to see whether a recruit is still "waiting" or already "activated."

Requesting a payout

Step 1 — Add your bank details in the portal (bank and account number) — your account name is verified automatically.
Step 2 — Request a payout once your balance reaches the minimum (₦5,000).
Step 3 — Wait for admin review — they transfer it manually, then mark it paid, and you'll see the status update in your dashboard.

Payouts aren't instant since they're reviewed and transferred by our team — if it's taking longer than expected, you can always follow up with support.
